From 29th to 30th November 2010, Publicity meeting on Patent Examination guidelines, organized by ACPAA, achieved great success in Nanchang city of Jiangxi province. Some important questions from the practice of the Patent Examination Guidelines were deeply explored and discussed. Over 40 patent agents and practitioners attended this meeting. Mr. Wang Qibei, the Deputy Secretary-General of ACPAA presided over this publicity meeting.

    Seven senior patent examiners as lecturers gave wonderful lectures at this meeting. The meeting involved the amendments of Patent Examination Guideline and the effect of practicing process, which was very helpful and guidance influence to the patent agents understanding of  Patent Examination Guideline. In the final exchange of questions and answers section, lecturers answered the agents’ questions in detail, and this was highly praised by the agents.
    Participants expressed that communication between examinations and patent agents is quite necessary, which provides the opportunities for both parties, and promotes mutual understanding simultaneously.
